Join a Japanese Dojo
About the Participation Fee
Joining is free of charge (¥0). To help each dojo thrive for years to come, we also offer optional "support plans" from ¥1,000 to ¥3,000 (excl. tax). Please choose whatever feels right for you. *Some dojos have a fixed fee.
Injuries & Insurance
We recommend getting insurance before joining. Judo is a martial art involving physical contact, and there is a risk of injury during practice. You participate at your own risk.
For visitors to Japan, we recommend Tokio Marine & Nichido's "JAPAN TRAVEL INSURANCE". Injuries during judo are generally covered. You must apply within 5 days of entering Japan, so we recommend applying on the day you arrive.
